II. Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing Your Personal Data

1. Processing of Personal Data When Visiting the Website

When you access our website, your browser automatically transmits certain data to our web server to provide you with the requested information. The following data is collected, temporarily stored, and used:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the accessed file
  • Website from which the access originated (referrer URL)
  • Browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your device
  • Name of your internet service provider

Processing this data is in our legitimate interest to ensure a smooth connection setup and a user-friendly experience. It also serves security-related purposes. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

2. Use of Cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small files automatically stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website. They do not harm your device and do not contain viruses, trojans, or other malicious software.
We only use
session cookies, which are automatically deleted after your visit. These cookies store a session ID, allowing us to recognize your browser when you return. This helps enhance usability, for example, by remembering previous inputs and settings.

The cookies we use are technically necessary for displaying the website correctly, ensuring stability and security, and enabling unrestricted use. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You can control cookie usage by adjusting your browser settings. Disabling cookies constitutes an objection under Article 21 GDPR.

3. Google Web Fonts

Our website uses “Google Web Fonts” by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This allows us to integrate external fonts into our website.

When you access our website, these fonts are loaded from Google’s servers and cached in your browser. This improves our website’s appearance, which constitutes a legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

When retrieving fonts, a connection to Google’s servers (often in the USA) is established. Google collects and stores your IP address. We have no control over Google’s use of this data.

Google adheres to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Agreement and is certified accordingly. More information:

4. Contact

You can contact us using the details provided on our website. We process the information you provide solely to handle your request, based on Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

III. Possible Data Recipients

We use specialized service providers to process some of your data. These providers are carefully selected, regularly monitored, and process data exclusively on our behalf under contractual agreements.

Additionally, we transfer personal data only when legally required, based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR (e.g., to law enforcement authorities or data protection agencies).

Other data transfers occur only when:

  • You have given explicit consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
  • It is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, provided no overriding interests prevent disclosure.
  • It is required for the performance of a contract with you under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

IV. Data Processing Outside the EU / EEA

Some of your data may be processed in countries outside the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA), where data protection levels may be lower. In such cases, we ensure an adequate level of data protection through contractual agreements with our partners.

V. Data Retention Periods

We process and store your data only as long as necessary for the intended purpose and delete it as soon as it is no longer required. Legal retention obligations take precedence over deletion in certain cases. If data is needed for other legitimate purposes, it will be restricted (i.e., blocked and not processed for other purposes).

VI. Data Security

We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption with the highest security level supported by your browser, usually 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 encryption instead.

You can recognize encrypted website sections by the lock or key symbol in your browser's address bar.

VII. Data Subject Rights

Under applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights:

  • The right to access the personal data we store about you;
  • The right to rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing of your personal data;
  • The right to data portability;
  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority;
  • The right to withdraw any consent you have given for the collection, processing, and use of your personal data at any time with effect for the future. Further details can be found in the relevant sections above where data processing based on your consent is described;
  • The right to object to processing based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR, a public interest pursuant to (e), or profiling, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact:
