Dr. Kunz is a Computational Biologist with over 10 years of professional experience in the development of bioinformatics methods and machine learning applications. He earned his M.Sc. in Biology and PhD (summa cum laude) from the University of Würzburg. After completing a two-year postdoctoral fellowship, Dr. Kunz became a Group Leader (Assistant Professor) for Applied Bioinformatics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. In 2023, he completed his habilitation, the highest academic qualification in Germany. With more than 50 scientific publications, Dr. Kunz has established a strong track record in analytics strategy, successfully translating omics data into medical insights and innovations.
