Dr. Manoochehri holds a PhD in Medical and Molecular Biotechnology from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. During his doctoral studies, he was a visiting scientist at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, where he initiated and led several projects focused on molecular oncology and cancer diagnostics, particularly in breast and pancreatic cancer. He completed these projects as a postdoctoral researcher, working with his team to identify and validate tumor- and immune cell-specific biomarkers for the minimally invasive detection of cancer through liquid biopsy. Dr. Manoochehri then joined Fraunhofer IGB in Stuttgart as a scientist, where he contributed to a large clinical study on next-generation diagnostics for identifying causative pathogens in sepsis using next-generation sequencing (NGS). Additionally, he has established and clinically validated epigenetic biomarkers, offering a promising in vitro diagnostic approach for predicting organ damage.
