Dr. Buhr earned his degree in Biochemistry with distinction from Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, complemented by research stays in San Francisco and London. During his doctoral studies, he has made groundbreaking contributions in the field of protein translation, protein folding, and RNA biochemistry. As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge, he identified a novel disease mechanism underlying neurodegeneration, leveraging cellular models and advanced proteomics. Dr. Buhr brings extensive expertise in biochemical, molecular, cellular, and structural biology techniques, along with hands-on experience in clinical diagnostics. Additionally, he has served as a scientific advisor to an oncology foundation and has extensive experience in mentorship, scientific outreach, and award-winning teaching. Dr. Buhr heads IMMUNEO's preclinical research initiatives, leveraging his broad scientific background across a range of fields.
